        The number of contenders for any course is increasing day by day and the time available to process the applications is decreasing day by day. To overcome this problem the world moved from subjective method of examination to objective method, featuring Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Optical Mark Readers (OMR)  to process the results faster using digital methods.
        In the objective method the answer for a given question is finite and all the contenders who give the right answer get equal marks. Answering a fixed set of MCQ correctly will give all contenders equal marks. These tests are used to select the best and hence there is no cut off and those who score more are selected.
Since all MCQ have a definite answer, and the time allotted is fixed, the contender who scores more in that given time is the winner.
